Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Words of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from his Biography: "My Mission is to grant you Courage and Joy, to drive away Weakness and Fear. Do not condemn yourselves as sinners; sin is a misnomer for what are really errors, provided you repent sincerely and resolve not to follow Evil again. Pray to the Lord to give you the strength to overcome the habits which had enticed you when you were ignorant."
"I have come to light the lamp of Love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added luster. I have not come on any mission or publicity for any sect or creed or cause nor have I come to collect followers for any doctrine. I have no plans to attract disciples or devotees into my fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of the Universal, Unitary Faith, this Path of Love, this Duty of Love, this Obligation to Love." (Sri Sathya Sai Baba, 4 July 1968)

Back Cover

The subject of this book is Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the One whom the Vedas proclaim as the Omnipotent, Ever-Blissful Supreme Consciousness and whom the Upanishads reveal only through "Neti, neti" - "Not this, not this".

This unique contemporary Incarnation of God - the second Sai in the Trinity of Sai Baba Incarnation, was born in the tiny village of Puttaparthi on 23rd November, 1926. His moral and spiritual influence has swept over all the countries of the world and millions of people of all religions are his ardent followers.

The author has presented the biography of Baba in a condensed form and presented the various aspects of His role-functioning as an Incarnation of this age of science, technology and sensate culture in which mankind is greatly disturbed about its diverse problems and worried about its future.

The author has approached the sublime subject with the incisiveness of a sociologist, the investigative thoroughness of an educationist and the faith and conviction of an ardent devotee, both based on his rich personal experience of two decades and his association with this "Cosmic Emperor", the Divine Master Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Prof. Satya Pal Ruhela is presently Professor of Education, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi. He is an ardent Sai devotee and has contributed a number of books on Sai Baba phenomenon.
