Sai Baba's brother passes away

ANANTAPUR: R V Janakiramaiah, younger brother of
Bhagwan Sri Satya Sai Baba, died at the superspecialities hospital at
Puttaparthi on Friday. He was 74.
Janakiramaiah was suffering from a lung infection for the past few days.
He is survived by wife, son and three daughters.
Janakiramaiah had undergone an angioplasty following a mild heart attack
at the same hospital last month.
On hearing of the news of the demise of his brother, Sri Satya Sai Baba
summoned Janakiramaiah's son Ratnakar Raju to Prashanti Nilayam and
consoled him.
Janakiramaiah, a member of the Sri Satya Sai Central Trust, was
instrumental in implementing developmental activities taken up by Sai
Baba.
Animal Husbandry Minister N Kistappa, several political leaders and
officials attended the funeral held later in the day. |
