Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Words of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from his Biography: "My Mission is to grant you Courage and Joy, to drive away Weakness and Fear. Do not condemn yourselves as sinners; sin is a misnomer for what are really errors, provided you repent sincerely and resolve not to follow Evil again. Pray to the Lord to give you the strength to overcome the habits which had enticed you when you were ignorant."
"I have come to light the lamp of Love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added luster. I have not come on any mission or publicity for any sect or creed or cause nor have I come to collect followers for any doctrine. I have no plans to attract disciples or devotees into my fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of the Universal, Unitary Faith, this Path of Love, this Duty of Love, this Obligation to Love." (Sri Sathya Sai Baba, 4 July 1968)

DANCE DIVINE
[ MONDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2001 09:39:29 PM ]

Rajeswari Sainath, noted Bharatanatyam exponent, performed at the Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 76th birthday celebrations being organised at Satya Sai Seva Sangham, Shivam on November 19. The Varnam in Kamas composed by Madurai Sethuraman showcased Rajeswari’s effortless command on Nritta, Nrithya and Abhinaya. This was followed by a Baba bhajan performed by her students. Swathi Tirunal’s Shankara Srigiri in ragam Hansanandi had Rajeswari depicting Shiva in various postures. The graceful illustration of Karanams brought out Rajeswari’s grasp of Angikabahinayam. The highlight of the evening was Jagadodharaka in Kapi, a Purandhara dasa kirthana in which Rajeswari portrayed Yashoda along with four-year-old Ashmita. A crisp thillana, a Madurai Krishnan’s composition in Valachi, Misra Chapu talam ended the delightful performance. Ranjani, Smitha, Vaishnavi, Shilpa, Varsha and Shreya, students of Sruthi Laya Natarajalaya, Rajeswari’s dance institute accompanied her.
