LTTE's criticism based on 'false
premises'
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD, JULY 13. Dr. G. Venkataraman, who
was adviser to Defence Research and Development Organisation and
former Vice- Chancellor of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher
Education, Puttaparthi, has criticised the LTTE for asking Tamil
people not to follow the path of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Dr. Venkataraman said the LTTE based its
statement on ``false premises and incorrect appreciation''. If Sri
Sathya Sai Baba was anti-Tamil, how was it that over the years,
thousands of Tamil students had been given free education in
Puttaparthi, and the followers of the Baba in Tamil Nadu conducted
75,000 free cataract operations last year to mark Baba's birthday,
he asked.
