Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Words of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from his Biography: "My Mission is to grant you Courage and Joy, to drive away Weakness and Fear. Do not condemn yourselves as sinners; sin is a misnomer for what are really errors, provided you repent sincerely and resolve not to follow Evil again. Pray to the Lord to give you the strength to overcome the habits which had enticed you when you were ignorant."
"I have come to light the lamp of Love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added luster. I have not come on any mission or publicity for any sect or creed or cause nor have I come to collect followers for any doctrine. I have no plans to attract disciples or devotees into my fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of the Universal, Unitary Faith, this Path of Love, this Duty of Love, this Obligation to Love." (Sri Sathya Sai Baba, 4 July 1968)

Tight security for Sai Baba after LTTE threat
[ SUNDAY, AUGUST 05, 2001 06:51:26 PM ]

BANGALORE: Security has been tightened at the Brindavan Ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Whitefield near here following a reported threat to his life by the LTTE, the police said.

Police said the measure had been taken in the wake of Andhra Pradesh police alerting their counterparts in Karnataka to scale up security following intelligence reports.

Sai Baba, who is revered by lakhs of devotees across the world, regularly comes down to Brindavan from his abode Prashanti Nilayam at Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh.

A top police official here on Sunday said the ashram office at Whitefield in Bangalore rural district had also received a telephone call holding out threat to the life of Sai Baba.

Recent media reports said the Tamil Tigers were angry with Sai Baba, who was visited by a few Sri Lankan ministers, his devotees. The reports had attributed the Tigers' anger to the Sai Baba not condemning violence against minority Tamils by security forces in the island nation.
