The duties and
responsibilities of the Coordinator and the Donor Recruiter are
listed below for circulation to all Sai Centres.
Sai Centres should identify
one reliable and committed Coordinator to oversee the Donor
Recruiters in their respective centres.
Briefing for Coordinators
and Donor Recruiters from all Sai Centres
will be held on the following dates. All Centre Coordinators and
Donor Recruiters must attend any one briefing session.
Friday, 16 July, 7.30 to
9.00 pm at Sri Ruthra Kaliamman Temple, 100 Depot Road
Saturday, 17 July, 5 to 6.30
pm at Sri Ruthra Kaliamman Temple, 100 Depot Road
The briefing is important
and necessary as the Centre Coordinators and Donor Recruiters will
be informed of the following:
i.
what is the purpose of the Blood Donation Drive
ii.
how to prepare for blood donation – dos and donts
iii.
what information to provide the Donor Recruiters with regard
to the methodology and approach
iv.
how to inspire and motivate the Donor Recruiters and
potential donors
v.
how collectively we can meet the target set for this Blood
Donation Drive – through Unity, Purity and Divinity

Select and brief Donor Recruiters
Ø
Issue reference number to each Donor
Recruiter

Monitor donor recruitment numbers
Ø
Encourage, motivate, guide and inspire
Donor Recruiters
Ø
Collate Donor Recruiters forms
Ø
Send letters/emails to all registered
donors, two weeks before blood donation drive to confirm their
attendance
Ø
Ensure that Donor Recruiters remind
registered donors to attend the Blood Donation Drive
Role of the Donor
Recruiter
Ø
Recruit reliable and potential donors
Ø
Brief donors clearly about details and
requirements
Ø
Fill up forms only when donors understand
commitment expected of them and agree to donate blood
Ø
Ensure forms are clearly filled up and
given to the Centre Coordinator 2 weeks before the Blood Donation
Drive
Ø
Regularly remind donors of the date of the
BDD and the Donor Recruiter reference number
