Words of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba from his
Biography:
"My Mission is to grant you Courage and Joy, to drive
away Weakness and Fear. Do not condemn yourselves as
sinners; sin is a misnomer for what are really errors,
provided you repent sincerely and resolve not to follow Evil
again. Pray to the Lord to give you the strength to overcome
the habits which had enticed you when you were ignorant."
"I have come to light the lamp of Love in your hearts, to
see that it shines day by day with added luster. I have not
come on any mission or publicity for any sect or creed or
cause nor have I come to collect followers for any doctrine.
I have no plans to attract disciples or devotees into my
fold or any fold. I have come to tell you of the Universal,
Unitary Faith, this Path of Love, this
Duty of Love, this Obligation to Love." (Sri Sathya
Sai Baba,
4 July 1968)

Sai Kingdom Yatra Day 8: Tuesday 2nd August 2005
Morning Darshan
Swami appeared from His Divine Abode to give Darshan
to His devotees in
the Sai Kulwant Hall at 7:40 am. Vedic Recitals
commenced with
beautiful background instrumental music. His car
went past the sisters’s side
and then onto the Veranda straight away. His car
stopped briefly on the
Veranda and then went down past the brothers’ side
and then left
through the Middle Entrance.
Swami returned at 9:00 am. Swami went into the
Mandir where Bhajans
commenced. Swami left for His Divine Abode at 9: 30
am.
Afternoon Darshan
Swami appeared from His Divine Abode to give Darshan
just before 3pm.
The Sai Kingdom Group were dressed in their
beautiful performance
clothes: the sisters were in blue, pink and light
yellow saris and the
brothers were in white. This is to match the colours
on the Mandir. The
Sisters from the Group were seated in the Sai
Kulwant Hall in front of the
Verandah and the brothers at the on the left, for
the performance.
Swami gracefully gave Darshan in His car, first to
the ladies and then to
the men’s area. As Swami was moving towards the
brothers side, the car
stopped, Swami enquired whereabouts of the group
leader.
Swami then went to the veranda and the car waited
for further
instructions from Him. Suddenly Swami instructed to
speak to Sri Ajit Popat. Sri
Ajit Popat who was already seated in the front of
the Sai Kulwant Hall,
immediately sprang to attend to Master’s call.
Swami’s infinite love
was portrayed in the conversation with Sri Ajit
Popat. Swami said He had
to go out, but He will come back. This assurance was
given to avoid any
anxiety from the Group.
Swami then left through the main exit door thereby
giving beautiful
Darshan to the men from the Group seated in that
area.
The group prayed intensely for Swami’s return and
grace.
Swami returned before 4pm and came from the
residence area as if one
more Darshan was being granted! The eyes of all
devotees sparkled!
Swami went to the verandah and then was brought to
His usual seating
area.
As the boys from the Group went to give the
invitation and flowers to
Swami, Swami immediately instructed them to sit down
and first allow Sri
Ajit Popat to speak. Sri Ajit Popat went forward to
speak to Swami and
Swami said that He wanted Sri Ajit Popat to speak
immediately, since
Swami had not heard him speak for a long time. Such
a motherly loving
yearning!
Sri Ajit Popat spoke beautifully and roared Swami’s
grace in UK and how
He makes the impossible possible. He gave an example
of a terminally
ill patient from UK who only wanted to live until
the 26th July to have
the Darshan of Swami and with His grace, the patient
is even with us
today and attending functions in Sai Kulwant Hall.
This was an example of
faith as the patient was instructed by doctors not
to leave the
country!
In his address, it was also highlighted how Swami
brought together the
children and youth, from various places of UK, for
intense practices
(as their Sadhana in their journey to God). Sri Ajit
Popat said that the
Group’s aim was not to gain anything from God, but
instead to make
Bhagwaan proud. In order to give a chance to the
Group, Sri Ajit Popat
kindly requested Swami to excuse him for his short
speech and allow Swami’s
children from UK to perform.
The programme then began by an offering of the
invitation and bouquet
of flowers by two boys from the Group, followed by
vitalising and fine
Veda Chanting by 6 boys and 3 girls. This followed 3
solo short songs
and medley of instrumental music by a blind girl,
Charlotte. The
compassionate Lord noticed her condition and to give
her comfort, Swami
signalled for her to sit down and start the
performance. When she was singing
and throughout in the afternoon, Swami gave several
“looks” to sister
Charlotte.
Then the group songs began. The hall was
reverberating with the
energising choir bhajans and cultural songs.
Throughout the programme, Swami
looked at the music team individually and the rest
of the members of the
Group. Swami was also doing various mudras during
the programme. He was
enjoying the music and was exhibited in His
following the talam by
tapping his hand on His thigh and even tapping His
foot. Once again,
Swami’s mercy was exhibited towards the end when He
stretched His leg, ready
to go, but Sri Ajit Popat, requested by signalling
for one more song.
As Swami is all compassionate, Dayaswaroopa, He
allowed it!
Aarti was performed by Swami’s priest, His students
and from the UK
Pilgrimage Group, brother Yoga and sister Hamsa, who
have been
instrumental in teaching the children and youth the
musical offering.
