TOPIC FOR THE WEEK ACADEMIC STANDARDS
The prevailing system
of the academic performance of students is
deplorable. If one gets 25% or 30% of marks in a subject, a
student is supposed to
have obtained pass marks and he is promoted. This means that
everyone has
the licence to commit errors to the extent of 70% to 75%. If
one commits
mistakes to the extent of 75% as a student, how many more
mistakes will
he commit when taking up a job? He may commit even 100%
mistakes and get
away with it. This is not a satisfactory state of affairs.
"Look up and aim
high" should be the moto. Low aim is actually a crime! If a
student aims at
90%, he may manage to get 60%. If , on the other hand, he
aims only at 30%,
he may get only 15%

This section will be focussing on implanting a good
character in
individuals, as Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba says, Education
is for a

REVERE YOUR PARENTS
You must remember that the mother and the father are Divine
and each of
them is like God. You must put these sacred ideal into
practice in your
life. In India the most sacred things are the respect for
one’s mother and
father who have not only given their blood in giving birth
to us but also starved
themselves on many occasions to give us what we need! If you
respect
your parents today, your children will respect you in the
future. If you
want to enjoy happiness, pleasure and bliss; you must be
good. Do good and see
good. This is the way to God.
BHAGAVAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA
LOVE FOR ALL EDUCATION
This section will lift education to its highest as Baba says
end of
knowledge is Love, and will give messages on love.
Start pouring out Love to all the members of your community
and
gradually expand that Love to include all mankind and even
the lower creatures.
Soak every moment in Love, that is to say in God.
Be born in Love, die
in Love, live in Love, that is to say emerge from
God and merge in God. Be the wave in the Ocean of Love.
You should not die, you should merge and fullfill yourself.
That is the
destiny, that is the destination.
Spread Love; be full of Love. If you cannot love man, how
can you hope
to love God?
Love must see the best in others and not the worst. Love
cannot ignore
the divinity in others. The greatest of the virtues is Love.
Love is the
basis of character. God is Love and can be won only through
the cultivation and exercises
of Love.
Love is expansion and expansion is Divine Life. Sow Love, it
blossoms
as compassion and tolerance. It yeilds the fruit of Peace.
