Your life is truly sacred. You are fortunate in the sense that you have chosen the spiritual path. Do not squander this opportunity by associating yourselves with evil company. Tell me your company I shall tell what you are. Your thoughts and actions are decided by the company you join. As is your company, so you become. The good and bad of the world are based on man's conduct. Man's conduct is based on his thoughts. Thoughts are based on desires. Desires depend on the company you associate yourselves with. So, join good company. Good company gives rise to noble thoughts. Noble thoughts is the royal road to divinity.

PRACTICE TRUTH

One has to practice truth before preaching the same. Come what may, one should have the courage and conviction to tread along the path of truth. Even at the cost of food, raiment and shelter, even at the cost of one's own life, one should be prepared to practise truth and righteousness and revive the ancient culture of Bharat. Lord Krishna declared in the Gita,

"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya Glanir Bhavati Bharata Abhyutthanamadharmasya Tadatmanam Srujamyaham" (When there is a decline in Dharma and rise in Adharma, I incarnate Myself for the establishment of Dharma.)

ADVICE FOR THE WEEK

This section will give Sathya Sai Baba’s advice to parents, students and teachers every week.

ADVICE TO TEACHERS

Do not be detered by the people who say that the information and inspiration you give will be too much of burden on the tender minds. It is only grown ups that would find learning new facts burdensome, the tender age is the best for this kind of instruction. Tell them the importance of OM and its significance, as the basic sound of all creation. It is a meaningful symbolic sound, it is quite unlike the useless jargon which the children learn today, in the very first lesson at school, Ba, Ba Black Sheep! Ding dong Bell, the Pussy in the well!.

LOVE FOR ALL EDUCATION

This section will lift education to its highest as Baba says end of knowledge is Love, and will give messages on love.

The love of a mother towards her child is called Vatsalya (affection), the love that exists between husband and wife is called Moha (infatuation). The love of a person towards his friends and relatives is known as Anuraga (attachment), the love towards material objects is referred to as Ichcha (desire). Though love is classified in this manner, it is essentially divine. One should always remember this. As man has forgotten this fundamental truth, he is developing differences based on physical relationships. This is the main cause of man's suffering. So long as there is such feeling of difference in man, he cannot attain divinity. I have been
repeatedly exhorting you to give up body attachment. Daivaabhi-maanam (attachment to God) decreases as Dehaabhimaanam (attachment to body) increases. Attachment to body is worldly in nature, whereas divine love is related to the heart. Every man has equal right to experience this love. Man cannot understand God's love because he tries to compare it with his narrow and selfish love. Such comparison is incorrect because God's love is
totally selfless. It is infinite, immortal and incomparable. In Vedantic parlance, Divine love is referred to as Angirasa as it circulates in the form of essence in every limb of the body. The love of man and the love of God are the same in quality as well as quantity (i.e., limitless). It is a folly to see difference between them. Man tries to estimate divine love from a worldly point of view. But there is no relationship whatsoever between worldly activities and divine love. They are entirely different from each
other.
