I am filled with infinite joy. I have never had any worry at any time or place. What is the reason? All things are transient like passing clouds. Why worry about them? We should not be elated or depressed by births or deaths. We came naked into the world, when we leave, we cannot leave our address with "our" kith and kin. How can they be "our kinsfolk?" All these are worldly phenomena. As long as we live, we should spend our lives in harmony and fellow-feeling. All our difficulties can be overcome by contemplation on God.

GOOD CHARACTER 21

CHARACTER

Education which should aim at sacrifice, character, morality, integrity are all gone today and thereby wasting life. Modern education is not striving to improve the character. It only aims at acquiring friendship, wealth and physical strength. Friendship and wealth without character are useless. It is something like a wire without the current; a field without water supply and a school without a teacher. Character is essential for students.   If you have mere education without culture, will it fetch any respect?

ADVICE FOR THE WEEK

This section will give Sathya Sai Baba’s advice to parents, students and teachers every week.

ADVICE TO TEACHERS

Spouting of things imbibed from books in long speeches which move the
listeners from one wave of excitement to another does not make a Guru. They
may be heroes in lecturing but they are zeros in Sadhana and in the mystery
of the spiritual field. They can be school masters, but they cannot confer
Bhakti or point out the way of liberation.

Teachers should regard their profession as one in which they not only teach
but also continuously learn more and more about the subject they have to
deal with. It should be like the battery in a car which gets charged when
car is running.

LOVE FOR ALL EDUCATION

This section will lift education to its highest as Baba says end of knowledge is Love, and will give messages on love.

Love lives by giving and forgetting. Self lives by getting and forgetting.

The highest type of Love sees the Divine shining in all and never wanes. It does not see men as belonging to different faiths or nations or classes or castes; it sees all as embodiments of Divinity.

Cultivate Love; sow the seeds of Love in all hearts, shower Love on the desert sands; let the green shoots, the lovely flowers, the luscious fruits, the sweet harvest of nectar be earned by mankind.

God is Love – Live in love.

Start the day with love

Fill the day with love

End the day with love

That is the way to God.
