BHAGAVAN’S MESSAGE OF SERVICE FOR THE WEEK

Man is deriving innumerable benefits from Nature and enjoying the
amenities provided by it in various ways. But what is the gratitude
he is offering to Nature and God? Man is forgetting the Divine who
is the Sole Provider of everything. This is the reason for his
falling prey to various difficulties and calamities. While he is
receiving countless benefits from Providence, he is offering nothing
in return to Nature or God. This shows how unnatural and heartless
man's behaviour is. When we are enjoined to return good for evil,
how unbecoming is it to fail even to return good for good? Man
should learn the great lesson Nature is trying to teach him - the
lesson of doing service with no expectation of return.

BHAGAVAN’S GENERAL MESSAGE FOR THE WEEK

In all the nine paths of devotion the string of love is the main principle: Listening, Singing, Chanting, Service, Salutation, Worship, Servitude, Friendship and Surrender to the Lord. Therefore that which confers bliss ultimately is only a state of sadness or misery. All the ancient sages who have experienced bliss have expressed clearly that bliss arises out of a state of misery. Just as the mind welcomes happiness it should also equally welcome sadness. Children of tender age and the youth irrespective of country are going to become the future leaders. Anything that you buy is certainly less than the total money that you possess. With money you can have anything material. But objects are not that important. Man considers money as very important and so is wasting his life. In fact the wealth that we should have should be the wealth of love. With this wealth of love anything can be accomplished in this world.

Serve the poor with love. That alone can redeem you. Service to the poor is service to God. Sacrifice your life for the cause of the poor. Service to the poor is My only motto. I have no other desires. I am prepared to sacrifice even My life to serve the poor. Do atleast one thousandth part of what Swami is doing. Of what use is human life if it is not spent in the service of the poor?
